One hundred and twenty years of history, an extraordinary legacy of creativity and innovation, and a vision of design that transcends eras while preserving its distinctive DNA. Lancia celebrates its 120th anniversary with “Lancia Design Days”, taking place from 4 to 7 November at the Heritage Hub in Turin, located within the historic Mirafiori industrial complex, which will open its doors to the public for a journey into the heart of the Brand’s design culture. Aimed at enthusiasts, students and anyone wishing to explore the world of automotive design, the initiative brings together the appeal of Lancia’s most iconic cars and the talent and expertise of the professionals shaping its future today.

Long synonymous with elegance and boldness in both styling and engineering, Lancia has made design one of the defining features of its identity, creating cars that combine refined styling with technological innovation. This tradition has left an indelible mark on automotive history. “Lancia Design Days” will invite participants to discover it, revealing the passion and know-how that turn an idea into a car with an unmistakably Italian personality.

At the heart of the initiative will be the opportunity to meet experts from the Centro Stile Lancia, who will guide visitors through the different disciplines involved in creating a car. Exterior and interior designers, colour and materials specialists, and digital modelling and prototyping technicians will share their experiences and working methods through talks, demonstrations and guided workshops. All of this will take place in the evocative setting of the Heritage Hub in Turin, home to one of the world’s most comprehensive Lancia collections, with numerous cars displayed throughout the museum, bearing witness to more than a century of Italian excellence.

For the occasion, a dedicated area has been set up where visitors can speak with professionals from the Centro Stile Lancia and admire ten models and design creations that trace the evolution of the Brand’s design, from its origins to its most recent interpretations of mobility. This journey through different eras and visions begins with the 1937 Aprilia, revolutionary for its technical and aerodynamic solutions, before continuing with the 1954 Aurelia B24, an icon of Italian elegance, and the 1973 Stratos Stradale, a symbol of bold, unconventional design and the Brand’s glorious sporting tradition. The story then explores the design experiments that have shaped Lancia’s more recent history, from the 1998 Dialogos, which redefined the concepts of luxury and comfort, to the 2000 Nea, looking ahead to new forms of mobility, and the 2003 Fulvia Concept, a refined reinterpretation of a legendary model.

Alongside these is the 2022 Pu+Ra Zero, a three-dimensional sculpture serving as a design manifesto for the lines of the Brand’s future models, reflecting the Brand’s ongoing exploration of shapes and proportions. Finally, bridging this extraordinary heritage and the future are the Lancia Pu+Ra HPE, a manifesto for the Brand’s new design language, the Nuova Ypsilon and the Nuova Gamma, tangible expressions of its journey of rebirth. This is the common thread running through “Lancia Design Days”: showing how the Brand’s history continues to inspire the creativity and passion of those designing its tomorrow.

Specifically, “Lancia Design Days” will take place on 4, 5 and 6 November, from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 14:00 to 17:00. Admission is included in the standard entrance ticket to the Heritage Hub at Via Plava 80, available exclusively online via this link. The programme will conclude with a special evening opening on Saturday 7 November, starting at 19:00, featuring an event organized by Club Silencio, an organisation that encourages young people’s participation through experiences combining culture and entertainment. The Group’s exhibition venue thus reaffirms its role as a cultural space open to the city, where automotive heritage offers opportunities for discovery and engagement for younger generations too. To attend the event on 7 November, registration is required on www.clubsilencio.it, with registration opening on 28 October.
